Caesars Foundation of Floyd County Continuous Support Helps Provide Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana Programming to Local Schools
September 18, 2023 | News & EventsThe Caesars Foundation of Floyd County has awarded Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana with a $8,974
grant to serve Floyd County youth. This grant has allowed and helped Junior Achievement continue to
grow and offer programming in Floyd County with our in-classroom programs where a volunteer works
with an educator to bring financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to life. We
are excited that we were able to exceed the number of students served and the commitment from
funders such as Caesar’s Foundation of Floyd County.
Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana is dedicated to imparting critical skills in financial literacy, work
readiness, and entrepreneurship. Our age-appropriate classroom and experiential programs commence
at the elementary school level, empowering children to understand their roles as individuals, future
employees, and responsible consumers. This educational journey continues through middle and high
school, equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the complex economic
and workforce landscape awaiting them.
“JA has been thrilled to be able to continue to grow the number of students we have reached through
the support of Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, educators, volunteers, and other Southern Indiana
supporters. We have seen a resurgence of requests for JA programming from our educators pre-
pandemic, gifts like these help us be able to fill the need and our amazing volunteers” said JA President
Jennifer Helgeson.
The Caesars Foundation of Floyd County’s continued generosity and support has undoubtedly played a
vital role in the success and growth of Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana over the years, helping us
shape a brighter future for the youth of Floyd County. We look forward to further collaboration and
impactful endeavors in the journey ahead.
